Loved Cub Product Launch

We are proud to announce the product launch of the Loved Cub. The Loved Cub is a one-of-a-kind huggable teddy bear made from a child’s own security blanket. Book Corner: Life by Keith Richards

One of the first jobs Keith Richards applied for in his youth was at a London advertising agency. Lucky for the music world though, he decided on rock and roll. This may be a small connection, but the main reason I selected the autobiography Life is because he represents a product and brand that has lasted for over forty years. Like or dislike Rolling Stones music, you have to appreciate their ability to adapt to changing trends without sacrificing artistic integrity. They've maintained their popularity decade after decade in a market that is constantly changing. Comedians use their age as a punchline all the while they are filling stadiums with fans year after year. With the brilliant marketing of their trademark tongue and being the first band to have corporate sponsorships of a rock tour, the Rolling Stones are truly a study in good business. The book Life has to be one of the most honest biographies I have ever read. Richards is candid about the darke...

Top 10 Reasons to... Have a "Top 10 List" in Your Next eMail

From the famous Dave Letterman nightly segment to the random  Top 10 G.I. Joe Vehicles of the 1980's , the Top 10 List has become one of the most overused methods to deliver content over the last century. Yet you can barely turnaround before you stumble across another one. In fact, Google 'top 10 list' and you'll find more than 558 million hits on the web. So why do they continue to proliferate? What better way to answer that question than in our own:   Top 10 Reasons You Should Still Consider Using Top 10 Lists 10.    In theory, people want to read what you have to say, but in practice they never have the time. A Top 10 list will just about cover your reader's 15-sec attention span. 9.    If it worked for Dick Clark, Dave Letterman, Roger Ebert and People magazine, who's to argue? 8. Whether it's the Top 10 Greatest Sporting Moments of all time or the Top 10 Songs of the Hair band era, we all have an opinion and we all want it to be heard. 7.  ...

Saluting The Johnsonia

We are sad to note the tragic fire that occurred at the Johnsonia recently. The devastating 6-alarm fire left the residents of 42 units without a place to live and destroyed the majority of their belongings. More than just a property was destroyed though, the Johnsonia was a symbol of dedication to a community.     We are fortunate to call the Straight family not only our client, but also our friends. We witnessed firsthand how our client worked to build a property that represented the best in quality and commitment to their tenants. Clark and Matt worked tirelessly on every detail as they revitalized this historic property. They raised the bar and proved to critics that a city with hidden gems has so much to offer. Fitchburg and its people were proud of their city, knowing the fact it was home to such historic treasures as the Johnsonia.       Much of the Straight family's renovations to the Johnsonia can be seen in the video brochure and televi...

Innovation Meets Tomorrow's Leaders - Two Great Clients Come Together

Ripano Stoneworks stands apart in the market by being on the cutting edge in the granite and natural stone countertop fabrication industry. It's one of the reasons they were named National Fabricator of the Year. At Rivier College, they're preparing the future's business leaders with a hands-on MBA program that gets students out of the classroom to see first-hand how leading business theories are put into use. Rivier College MBA students recently toured the Ripano Stoneworks fabrication shop to understand the practical application of lean manufacturing processes they were learning in the classroom. They also got an opportunity to see the innovative technologies Ripano is applying to the countertop fabrication process. Said one Rivier student, "That's an example of the true entrepreneurial spirit that drives this great country. Ripano really seems to have it all together. Great products, "cutting" edge technology, and more importantly, great ideas!...

Combating A Crisis of Confidence

Case Study: Combating a crisis of confidence By Matt Ellis & Jack Heath Recently, one of Massachusetts best known companies found itself combating a crisis of confidence. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts has earned a solid reputation for providing an affordable solution to health care costs. But, that reputation took a hit when the news media reported the company's former chief executive was handed an $11 million golden parachute. It got worse when the media published the salaries of the Blue Cross board of directors. The group of high profile Boston business and academic leaders was earning large, five figure salaries to conduct board business. Why did this new ignite a firestorm of negative press? Health care costs are a top concern for citizens, politicians and small business owners. On its website, Blue Cross Blue Shield says, "Our highest priority is to make health care affordable." But, in light of the headlines and TV reports, that didn't seem t...

Erin's Back From The Dominican Republic

Most people flee to the beautiful resorts of the Dominican Republic for a break from their hectic lives. While sipping on pina coladas by the pool, one wouldn't realize the poverty that exists outside of their resort in the true Dominican Republic. Erin and 30 other volunteers from the Manchester area spent a week in January with Orphanage Outreach in bateyes near Monte Cristi, DR providing medical care. The bateyes of the Dominican are home to sugar, rice, or banana plantation workers and their families. People that work and live in these bateyes often can't afford anything other than food and shelter, let alone medical care. Waking at sunrise each morning, the group of volunteers loaded the Orphanage Outreach trucks with suitcases full of medical supplies and headed to the batey. At the batey clinic site, families would be lined up waiting for the volunteers to arrive. After setting up the make-shift registration, triage, education, Dr's, and pharmacy stations, the vo...

Increase the ROI of Website Visitors: Remarketing

What are you doing to increase the ROI on visitors to your website? A remarketing campaign can give you the lift you're looking for. Remarketing allows you to reach people who previously visited your website, and match the right people with the right message. You can show users these messages as they browse sites across an ad display network (for example the Google Display Network). Let's say you are an online retailer who sells printers and TVs. You can show TV ads to those people who visited the TV section, and you can cross-sell, up-sell, and promote other relevant products: surround sound systems or DVD players, for example. Here's how it works: We add a piece of code (remarketing tag) to pages of your site that correspond to certain categories you want to promote. For example, adding a tag for "TV" on all of the pages where you sell TVs will let you later show relevant TV ads to everyone who visits those pages. Remarketing is a tool that can dri...
