Boston Billy: On Location With Bill Rodgers

Bill Rodgers is most well-known for his victories in the Boston Marathon and the New York city Marathon in the late 1970s. 
Rodgers won both races four times each between 1975 and 1980, twice breaking the American record at Boston with a time of 2:09:55 in 1975 and a 2:09:27 in 1979. His victories made him a hero and secondary fuel for the running boom of the 1970's. Rodgers now owns his own running store in Faneuil Hall.

The Burke Advertising crew recently shot renowned marathon runner Bill Rodgers for a new episode of Sports Legends New England on location at Precision Fitness Equipment in Natick, MA. Bill Rodgers told Bob Lobel and Jack Heath great stories of his extraordinary running career and how he helped running evolve into a legitimate and popular sport.
